Artist's Statement

A scattering of words are connected by colour coded threads to form an expansive web that may, to one, appear as a confused mass of information, but are, to me, an organised diagram depicting a logical maze of elements that intertwine to characterise my practice.

My work stems from a fascination and visual attraction to organised information, lines, stripes, colour and repeated patterns. Drawing is fundamental to my way of working, and process is an important part of my work, often introducing a durational aspect. Order and chaos constantly challenge each other, and unexpected results emerge from highly controlled, obsessive and rigorous actions.
